Marian Rivera is undoubtedly the most popular actress in the Philippines as of this writing.
She started from humble beginnings in showbiz. Marian first appeared in a biscuit commercial then the rest is history.
Marian hit the TV charts with her portrayal as the local version of “Marimar” then the fantasy-drama “Dyesebel” opposite her perennial partner Dingdong Dantes. Their show topped the TV ratings during their airtime not only in Mega Manila but the whole Philippines as well.
Marian and Dingdong are now currently on their latest TV show “Ang babaeng Hinugot Sa Aking Tadyang” which is also making well in the charts.
Marian was also considered for the role of “Rosalinda”, another Thalia starrer which will be having it’s local version very soon. But just recently, the role was formally given to newcomer Carla Abellana who is equally talented as Marian.
